Founded on 1st April 1919 by Mr. T. Sabapathipillai, our school began as a humble institution in Kaluwanchikudy, south of Batticaloa. On 1st June 1936 it was formally renamed as BT/Paddiruppu Government Tamil Mixed School, and over the decades it was progressively upgraded through multiple stages — Boys' School, Junior English School, Senior High School — before attaining its current national school status.
Today, with more than 105 years of service to the community, BT/PD/Paddiruppu MMV National School stands as a beacon of academic excellence, character development and cultural heritage in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka.
